Jim Hall had a profound impact on almost anyone he
met. Not only was he influential to generations of musicians in all
styles, he also connected with people in a very special way. He
expressed a sincerity in the way he listened to people, just as genuine
as the "Art of Listening" that he is so well known for in music.
Throughout this project, we will celebrate Jim Hall as both the guitar master and as a great human being. We will share stories from the people who knew Jim, his neighbors, family, musicians, and friends. For the first installment of the project, we are excited to share previously unreleased recordings of Jim Hall with Red Mitchell, live at Sweet Basil.
Some of the musicians, friends, and family that Jim worked with closely throughout his career have been involved in curating and selecting this music to be released for the first time.
We hope that you will join us in celebrating Jim Hall's music and life and thank you for being a part of this musical journey. Participate here.

Braun, Jeff Lorber, Chuck Loeb, Harvey Mason, Brian Bromberg, Til
Bronner, Everette Harp, Eric Marienthal, Brian Dunne, Randy Brecker, and

the Berks Jazz Festival, held annually in Pennsylvania. The idea to

Welcome to the Requinte Trio Project, where 9 time Grammy Award winning solo artist and vocalist for the Manhattan Transfer, Janis Siegel, world-renowned Brazilian multi-instrumentalist, Nanny Assis, and Multi-Grammy nominated pianist and composer, John Di Martino, will be sharing
the fusion of American Jazz and Brazilian music, forming a "creative
combustion" of music. They are fusing the talents and musical colors of
American and Brazilian artists through their common love of lyrical
melodies and delicious grooves; creating sensual music with a broad
range of influences - a musical "cocktail" of sorts. They are excited to
delve more deeply into the beautiful rhythms of Brazil and would love to
share their process with you.
Through this project, they will be challenging and pushing each other out of their comfort zones. As the project develops, they will be documenting the creative process, sharing their rehearsals and insights, and you will be right alongside them through the entire project.
