About this project

Project Update: The Parlor Series Vol. II has been submitted for nomination in the 58th Grammy Awards!

I am very excited to announce the second installment of The John Clayton Parlor Series. The project has been an ongoing dream of mine, and for years I've had an ever-growing list of musician friends I've been wanting to perform with in a duo setting. This time around, I had the chance record with one of my heroes and musical mentors, Hank Jones, in a relaxed, "let's-just-see-what-happens" atmosphere.

Just like the first, we invite you to take a seat, and experience these intimate and musical conversations. I will be sharing stories on my connection with Hank Jones and how this recording came to be. As a participant you will receive previews of songs from the recording, photos from the recording studio, my thoughts on the project, and more.

I want to share these performances with you and invite you to come on board. We'll travel on this creative adventure together as I play these new duets in an intimate and spontaneous environment. Step into my parlor and enjoy some new music with us today!
