About this project

As a composer and educator, my mission has always been to bridge the gap between performance and pedagogy, to make music not just something to play, but something to understand, feel, and live. This new project is a culmination of that vision—a comprehensive learning experience designed to immerse you in the music beyond the printed page.

Most compositions in this collection are accompanied by a companion video where I delve into the nuances of the piece. Through these videos, you'll gain insight into our collective approach to rhythm, harmony, and improvisation, offering a window into our creative process. Additionally, I've included footage of our rehearsals, providing a behind-the-scenes look at how we bring these compositions to life.

For those interested in practicing alongside my ensemble, I've prepared specially mixed tracks. Some pieces are available with the solos removed, allowing your musicians to engage directly with the band. Others come with the rhythm section—drums and bass—omitted, so your players can practice their parts in context, as if they were part of the ensemble themselves.
